The Bristol Beaufighter MK.VI established itself as one of the most fearsome night fighters of the Royal Air Force (RAF) from 1941 onwards. The RAAF successfully used the “Beau”, as it was affectionately called, in reconnaissance missions and attacks on Japanese shipping.
